Happy New Year future Real Love brides!! We are SO excited for the biggest wedding year since 1984! Which if you are an engaged or soon to be engaged bride, I am sure you are aware of!! With the record number of weddings taking place in 2022 and even booking well into 2023 and 2024, we know that planning a wedding right now can be even more involved, and organization and planning is key.
As you start to plan your big day, one of the first steps in the planning process, which is our FAVORITE part, is shopping for your perfect wedding gown!! We wanted to share all of the bridal trends and things we are seeing for 2022.
CLEAN & CLASSIC
The absolute biggest bridal style we are seeing is clean and classic bridal gown styles & wedding themes! These are timeless, chic gowns that you will look at your wedding photos in 25 or 50 years and will stand the test of time. In 2022, the clean classic styles are designed with a silk or satin fabric and are designed with modern touches and details so they are anything but traditional.
Street style right now is heavily influenced by the looks of the 1990s and it is definitely carrying over into bridal. Think about celebrities that tied the knot in the 90s and then adding a modern twist.
As for accessories, think bows, pearls and Parisian influences!

THE NEW NECKLINES
The plunging v neck has been THE neckline of the past few years. It is very elongating and so flattering on the bodice. But in 2022, we are seeing more variety in necklines! Which with the cleaner gowns that are so in, varying the neckline adds that modern personal touch! A mix of scoop, strapless and square necklines will be huge in 2022.
SLEEVES
And the final 2022 trend to report on – LONG SLEEVES. Paris Hilton, Lily Collins, Hailey Bieber. The long sleeves are so in and here to stay! Variations ranging from an elegant high neck to an off the shoulder sleeve with a completely open neckline. While we earlier mentioned the clean modern lines, fabrics and silhouettes, the long lace sleeves are bringing all of the romance in 2022.
